Courses in Major Field of Study
- Maximum credits per semester: 9 credits (12 credits allowed for students of the Arts Therapy Department)
- When to Register: February, August
- Period for adding/dropping courses: First week of March, First week of September
- Credits required for the completion of the program
- Master's: Minimum of 24 credits (Arts Therapy Department: minimum of 36 credits)
- Doctoral: Minimum of 36 credits
Students enrolled for less than 6 credits per semester are not eligible for scholarship in the following semester.
Prerequisite Courses
- Eligibility: Student whose previous academic background is not related to his/her current major
- Prerequisite credits required for completion: 3 ~ 9 credits (depending on previous academic background) Please check the number of credits required of you in the EDWARD system.
- Maximum prerequisite credits allowed per semester
- Master’s: 6 credits
- Doctoral: 3 credits
- How to Register
- Master’s: Add courses offered in the undergraduate program on the EDWARD system during the course registration period.
- Doctoral: Submit Prerequisite Course Enrollment Application Form (통합수강신청서) to Graduate School.
Please consult with your department chair for courses designated as prerequisite before doing course registration every semester. - Prerequisite course credits will not count as credits in the major field of study.
- Prerequisite courses are marked as either Pass or Fail on your transcript.
- Minimum passing grade is 80 points out of 100 points.
- Getting an F on prerequisite courses will result in no scholarship benefits for the following semester.
Korean Language Course (Substitute for Foreign Language Qualifying Exam)
- Eligibility: All International students who wish to take the course
- Class Schedule: Morning (9~12) or Afternoon (2~5) on Fridays
- Course Titles Offered: Academic Writing / Academic Reading
- No additional tuition payment needed.
- A Korean language course serves as one of the substitutes for the foreign language exam.
- The credits earned in Korean language courses will not count as credits in the major field of study.
Taking Courses Offered by Other Departments
- Eligibility: Any student who wish to take courses offered by other departments need to obtain permission from both the dean of the graduate school and the department chair.
- Maximum credits allowed: 12 credits
Extra Credit Registration
- Eligibility: Doctoral students whose average grade from the previous semester is 95 points or higher
- How to Register: Submit Extra Credit Registration Application Form (통합수강신청서) to the Graduate School
- Maximum credits allowed: 3 credits
