• Students in their 4th semester or later (or 3rd semester for those in a combined Bachelor's-Master's program), or students who have already completed their coursework.
You can apply to present your thesis if you meet all the following:
• You’ve been enrolled for at least 4 semesters (or 3 for combined program students) and have earned or will earn the required credits (PhD: 36 credits / Master’s: 24 credits).
• Your GPA is 80 or higher.
• You’ve received a recommendation from both your thesis advisor and department head.
• You’ve either submitted your research plan (Master’s) or passed your research proposal presentation (PhD).
• If you’ve completed coursework, you must be registered for research this semester.
After you apply online, you’ll be able to print out all the required forms at once:
• Application form (신청서)
• Research Ethics Agreement (연구윤리준수서약서)
• Committee Member Recommendation Form (심사위원 추천서)
Submit both the original Committee Member Recommendation Form and a Committee Member Change Request Form.
Make sure to accurately fill in all the personal info for any external committee members.
After signing your application, submit it to your department office. They’ll set the review schedule and let you know. (You don’t need to submit faculty meeting report.)
